Our board members are most notable for their long-term commitment to Trips For Kids. Many of them have been involved with Trips For Kids from the beginning. Board members actively contribute to Trips for Kids as well. Most notable is Marilyn Price, the Founder and Director of Trips for Kids, who worked as a volunteer for the first 10 years and saving Trips For Kids huge sums of money. She continues to work 70 hours a week. Gary Fisher, our most famous board member, is widely known as a mountain biking pioneer and helps attract media attention and industry support for our programs. Timothy Harrington evaluates our financial status monthly and manages our funds. Alan Kay manages all construction and renovation projects, both large and small. Attorney Richard Idell provides legal advice and Patricia Gallery, a former Trips For Kids grant writer, continues to help with fundraising and events as a volunteer. Carsten Andersen brings his love of cycling and thirty years of experience in building successful companies to help expand Trips For Kids. Shaugn Stanley, a longtime volunteer on our rides and with our fundraising events, brings his talents for donor development. Chuck Lesem brings over twenty years of strategic planning, finance, and information technology experience. Chauncey DiLaura, a veteran ride volunteer, provides his financial savvy, energy, and commitment to the kids.

The role of the Honorary Board is to increase recognition of Trips For Kids on a national level and thus further the goal of starting new Trips For Kids groups.
