FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SAN RAFAEL, CA – September 18, 2017 – Interbike, the largest bicycle industry trade event in North America, today announced a new partnership with Trips For Kids to be the exclusive recipient of post-event donations at the conclusion of Interbike.
The partnership will provide a Donation Drop Off Center conveniently located on the show floor to accept donations of bikes products, accessories, apparel, demo items, etc. that can be used to support Trips for Kids programs. Vendors can now streamline their show logistics, reduce shipping costs and speed up booth breakdown by donating to a good cause that will help get more kids on bikes.
“We’re thrilled to enhance our partnership with Interbike, and hope that we’ll be a helpful resource for exhibitors who want to donate product in lieu of shipping it back or discarding it,” said Robert Alan Ping, Trips For Kids-National Executive Director. “The 100% tax deductible donations will be used to support Trips for Kids programs and our rapidly expanding network of 75 chapters operating in 30 states and Canada.”
“We’ve been a supporter of Trips For Kids for more than 10 years, and I personally have been a fan of [founder] Marilyn Price for her impact on the growth of our sport for even longer,” said Pat Hus, Vice President of Interbike. “I encourage all exhibitors who have new or demo bicycles, components, clothing, helmets, locks, bike racks, lights, lubricants, nutritionals and accessories – and don’t want to ship them back to their offices, to donate them to this worthy cause so close to all of us.”
Exhibitors interested in donating to Trips for Kids at the end of the show can visit the Trips for Kids Donation Drop Off Center, conveniently located in the main expo area, on Friday, September 22 between 10am-5pm and Saturday, September 23 between 8am-12pm. Come by the Trips for Kids Booth (L4) for more information. All questions related to Trips for Kids Interbike donations should be directed to Andy Phelps, Trips for Kids National Sponsorship Coordinator, at 415-747-9971, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Interbike returns to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, beginning with OutDoor Demo in Boulder City, Nevada, September 18-19, 2017, followed by the Interbike Expo at Mandalay Bay, September 20-22, 2017.
