Chapter and marketing coordinator, Amy Carver, will be out of the office Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 22.

During her absence, if your chapter requires immediate attention, please contact executive director, Robert Ping, via email at or by phone at 503-289-0441. If your question is product related, please reach-out to our support and sponsorship manager, Andy Phelps, at or 415-747-9971.

If your question or need can wait, Amy will be happy to assist you when she returns to her desk on Monday, March 25.

BikeFlights has offered ALL Trips for Kids employees and staff from every active chapter to participate in Industry Employee Program (IEP) and receive a 20% discount off shipping their personal bicycles up to three times per year. It can be used for personal use or travel.

BikeFlights defines an employee or staff as a person who has a title role within the organization. The discount is not extended to volunteers unless the volunteer is the executive director or a program leader for the organization. No other volunteers will be

eligible for this benefit. If you are unsure about yours or another person’s eligibility within your organization, you may reach out directly to Sue George at BikeFlights and she will determine the eligibility.

Shipping Process:

1.      Go to the website and create your own username and password.

2.      Enter “Trips for Kids” under ‘Company’.

3.      Click on the ‘Contact’ drop down menu to send an email to the Bike Flights website administrator Sue George and inform her that you work for Trips for Kids and would like to take advantage of their shipping discount.

4.      Send the email at least one week prior to your shipping date. Sue has asked that employees do not wait until the last minute to email her before wanting to ship a bike the next day! Her normal response time for responding is usually 2-3 days but could take up to a week on some rare occasions when she may be at a trade show or on vacation. So please plan ahead and enjoy your great shipping discount.

One of our longest operating chapters is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year.

Since their inception, Trips for Kids Charlotte, has seen more than 3,000 kids participating in just their Saturday rides alone and over 500 have received bikes through the Earn-a-Bike Program and the Charlotte Re-Cyclery supporting Trips For Kids Charlotte.

strangers with similar passions and goals came together with help from our Trips for Kids founder, Marilyn Price, for a common cause in their community. The rest is Trips for Kids history!
