COMING SOON: NEW CHAPTER SUPPORT KIT ORDERING SYSTEM

Last year, chapters shared their feedback on their chapter support kits, we listened. We are working on creating our new ordering system for chapter support kits. Stayed tuned.

CHAPTER BENEFIT SPOTLIGHT: CLIF BAR

Each year, our sponsor, CLIF Bar provides our active Trips for Kids chapters with an assortment of their snack bars. Individual chapter allotment is based on the number of unique riders reported on year end chapter annual reports, factored in with the total number of current eligible Trips for Kids chapters requesting bars. CLIF Bar allocations may go up or go down based on donation provided and the number of chapters requesting product.

How do chapters receive bars?

  • Complete your annual report each year and on time so we can report to Clif Bar.
  • Make sure national has your correct shipping information.
  • Product is shipped directly from Clif Bar typically in either April or July - so plan accordingly.

If you do NOT wish to receive CLIF Bars for your chapter, please contact Amy Carver at amy@tripsforkids.org so we can remove you from the request list

CHAPTER SPOTLIGHT:

MID-COLUMBIA RIDES INTO WASHINGTON STATE

Mid-Columbia Director, David Spaulding, was inspired to start his chapter after volunteering at Trips for Kids Denver.

We are pleased to announce our newest chapter family member from Kennewick, Washington. Trips for Kids Mid-Columbia is sponsored by Wheelhouse Community Bike Shop, a nonprofit community owned bike organizations whose goals are to expand bicycle usage and knowledge by providing public access to educational materials, workspace, and tools/parts through a member owned and supported central location.

Our Mid-Columbia chapter will serve local elementary and middle schools by operating  both the Discovery Trails Rides and Mobile Bike Clinics program.
