Are you struggling with creating your own website or web-page? Need some help getting started?

We have some good news for you! National will host an individual web-page on our website for chapters with your own link for you to use.

Each individual chapter web-page will consist of:

  1. Two chapter photos provided by the chapter (or national will assist you in selecting two photos to use from our archives until you have your own)
  2. Chapter program list
  3. Chapter contact name, phone number, email and address
  4. Chapter programming dates (and special event dates if applicable) (provided by chapter)
  5. Chapter social media handles (provided by chapter)
  6. Chapter sponsor block (provided by chapter)
  7. National sponsor block
  8. Chapter logo with national description

You can also include:

  1. A fundraising donation button (chapter to provide link to their established tool - ie: Paypal giving)
  2. Your downloadable volunteer fundraising form (if applicable)
  3. Your downloadable parental consent form

You will be responsible for sending any updates to Amy at Changes and updates must be made through national. Please allow three business days for updates to be made. Visit Trips for Kids Tulare County's page to view the current template.

Note that ALL chapters are required to have either their own website or web-page. We are happy to assist you by providing this page to you! We are limited to one page per chapter. If you require two pages or more, you will need to host your own web-page.

Are you ready to build your own website, but not sure how to get started? Click this link to review our tips sheet.

You can now order your support packages. Please find information on the ordering process in the two previous editions of the Trail Blazer.

Youth participants from our Trips for Kids Metro New York chapter show off their sunscreen, hats, and informational booklets.

Most of our time is spent outside and we want to make sure we teach our riders about the harsh effects of the sun. We have teamed up with the John Wayne Cancer Foundation to share information from their “Block the Blaze” program.

This 25-minute "Block the Blaze" training session provides invaluable sun safety information and your participation will qualify your chapter to receive sunscreen samples and trucker hats for your program participants. It is on a first come, first serve basis.

How It Works:

  1. Participate in a 20-25 minute training call with, our contact Lauren Fraga, where she will review all info you need to know to present on behalf of Block the Blaze
  2. Lauren will send you a follow-up recapping the call. At that time, she will ask for an estimate of how many youth will hear the Block the Blaze presentation so she can send brochures, hats and sunscreen sample packs to them. She will also provide this link and remind you that you MUST fill out after presenting.
  3. Lauren will then mail you send brochures, hats and sunscreen sample packs out to them
  4. You present the info (preferably summer months) and distribute hats, sunscreen sample packs and brochures
  5. You record the number of youth who have heard the presentation and report those figures to Lauren.

You can contact Lauren by emailing her at

Meet Trips for Kids Chicago Voyagers sponsored by Chicago Voyagers works in Chicago, Illinois. Their mission is to empower at-risk youth through outdoor experiential adventures that foster healthy relationships and healthy behavior. It is led by their executive director, Bernie Rupe who has 25 years of experience working with at-risk teens.

Their Story

In 2002, the first Midwest chapter of Trips for Kids, Trips for Kids Fox Valle,y was founded in Fox Valley, Illinois.

In 2008, in order to amplify the impact of the local Fox Valley Trips for Kids program, Chicago Voyagers undertook the sponsorship of the chapter, moved it to Chicago, and renamed it, Chicago Voyagers. The organization expanded their programming adding activities such as canoeing, hiking, cross country skiing, rock climbing, river trips, and camping to their original Trips for Kids Discovery Rides Trail Program.

Today, Chicago Voyagers serves more than 400 at-risk teens from Chicago and the surrounding area. With more than 30 program partners, Chicago Voyagers is able to provide experiential, relationship-based outdoor adventure programming year-round. Every year, Chicago Voyagers increases its impact by serving more young people and increasing the length and intensity of programming.

On May 19, they will celebrate assisting 10,000 youth in tens years, with their 10,000 Voyages Gala. Congratulations Chicago Voyagers! Thank you for all you do to get kids active, outside and connected to nature!
