Trips for Kids Erie Receives Grants for Bike Repair Stands

Trips for Kids Erie (TFKE) Chapter sponsored by SSJ Neighborhood Network has acquired two Public Bike Repair Stands through a grant from the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority (ECGRA).

TFKE Program leader, Margarita Dangel, says, "Thank You ECGRA for supporting the many children and adults in the SSJ Neighborhood Network Service area. The public bike repair stand is a tool many need as bikes are a means of transportation here.”

The first public bike repair stand is placed on the east side of Erie. "It is convenient as the closest bike store is more than five miles away. Other public bike repair stands are placed in Erie, but this is the first one on the east side," shares Dangel. The stand is located next to their east office, so youth can be given instructions on how to use the tools and provide bike tire repair kits if needed.

Congratulations to the Erie team!
