ZEVIA HELPS TRIPS FOR KIDS TO "LIVE OUR BEST RIDE"

We are excited to internally announce our new corporate partner: Zevia: Zero Sugar, Zero Calories, Nothing Artificial Soda.

Robert Gay, Zevia’s Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, will be biking almost 5,000 miles from Neah Bay, Washington, all the way to Key West, Florida, from August to October/November, to promote both their products and our mission.

In partnership with Trips for Kids, Zevia and Robert hope to inspire kids to live their best by being curious, exploring the outdoors and learning through adventures.

We were selected by Zevia because they admired that Trips for Kids uses bikes as tools to create curiosity for the outdoors and as an outlet for kids to learn and explore. Zevia believes that the outdoors should be accessible for everyone, regardless of where they live.

Along the route, Zevia will raise awareness by partnering on press events with some chapters they have identified which currently include our newest chapters forming in Seattle, Minneapolis and Atlanta, Georgia, plus Trips for Kids Kennewick, WA, FLIPANY in Miami, Florida and potentially more.

The "Live Your Best Ride" will launch next week in coastal Washington on August 6. More information to follow!

SPONSOR STILL WAITING ON CHAPTER NUMBERS

John Wayne Cancer Foundation has been a supporter of Trips for Kids for the past two years through their "Block the Blaze" campaign. They provide chapters with both training and products such as sunscreen samples and their trucker hats, but require that numbers be reported to them from the individual chapters receiving their product. This requirement was provided in all correspondence and during their verbal training sessions.

Unfortunately, our relationship with the foundation has been compromised as some chapters did not follow through with reporting their numbers. We do understand that life gets busy for everyone; however your immediate attention to this matter is important as we do not want our sponsors to feel we are unable follow through.

Chapters are not required to participate in their program, but if you received product from the Block the Blaze campaign and did NOT yet report your numbers to them, please contact Lauren Fraga, at lauren@johnwayne.org, immediately.

She will send us a list of chapters that she is still waiting on. Each individual chapter was responsible for determining their own figures so we do not know what each chapter requested.

If you did NOT end up using product they sent to you, you are required to send it back to them.
