ROBERT MEETS ZEVIA'S ROBERT GAY

Robert spent this past weekend in Seattle greeting the public and meeting with press alongside our new partner Zevia. The company developed an alternative to sodas with their zero calorie, zero sugar, naturally sweetened beverage products.

Last week we shared that Zevia's Chief Strategy Officer and EVP of Sales and Marketing, Robert Gay, is riding close to 5,000 miles across the county to show people how to live their best ride while also raising awareness and funding for Trips for Kids.

Our logo displayed alongside Giant and Liv's on the Zevia bus.

The Zevia crew plans to stop in several media markets during the ride as well as meet with our chapter directors from City of Lakes (MN), Fulton County (GA) and FLIPANY (FL).

You can read more about Robert's background HERE.

TRIPS FOR KIDS COACHELLA VALLEY RECEIVES GRANT

Congratulations go out to Trips for Kids Coachella Valley sponsored by the Desert Recreation Center for their recent $90,000 grant award.

A selection of 26 local California park projects received grants totaling $4.1 million from the California Habitat Conservation Fund (HCF) Grant Program. The program is funded by the California Wildlife Protection Act of 1990, which provides assistance to local agencies for the protection, restoration and enhancement of wildlife habitat to maintain California's quality of life.

The chapter's grant funding will be used to provide outdoor environmental adventure and recreation camps for disadvantaged youth in Coachella Valley.

DAVID O'NEILL COMPLETES HIS SOLAR POWER RIDE

David photographed in Buffalo, New York, with his bike and solar trailer.

David O'Neill arrived in Buffalo, New York, on Tuesday, August 13! He rode for seven weeks across America, beginning his journey in Riverside, California, on June 23.

The ride's purpose was to promote solar and clean energy transportation, to get people out and active on their bicycles and to help share the mission of many wonderful organizations David supports, including Trips for Kids.

To congratulate him and/or learn more about his ride by visiting his Facebook page, David O'Neill's Solar Bike Ride Across American.
